When It Rains It Pours

Have you ever heard of the principal that when it rains it pours? Well I am here to tell you that it's true.

There have been multiple instances in my life when I was working towards something and waiting for an opportunity and then instead of getting one opportunity at a time, a ton of them all come at once.

Jobs for example. Last year during the winter I was working for a ski shop doing their internet marketing. The ski season was coming to an end and I was looking for a new job for the summer. I had spent a couple weeks applying and interviewing at places. Then over the time period of two days I had 4 job offers. All 4 positions were jobs that I would have liked to do. They all offered pretty similar compensation, and were good jobs. I ended up choosing two of them and working part time for two of the jobs that I was offered.

Another example is dating. So many times I am going through a lull in my dating life. There might not be anyone I am interested in, or I am just not actively trying to date. Then all of the sudden, 3 or 4 girls will randomly be super interested in me and want to go on dates with me. What the heck am I supposed to do when this happens? Cause morally, I should only date one girl at a time. But when 3 of them all come at me at once, how do I know which one to choose? I usually end up just kind of going with what happens, and it usually works out.

What I have learned from the principal of when it rains it pours is that you have to make decisions all the time. Live with the decisions you make, don't wonder what it would have been like if you have chosen differently, cause you can't go back and change it. You can learn from wrong decisions you have made and change how you will act in the future.
